Active protection for optical cable lines

It is one of the most commonly used and cost-effective line-side protection solutions in Optical Transport Networks (OTN), DWDM, PTN/SDH, and other optical networks. OLP is widely regarded as the “automatic fuse” for optical fibers. OLP systems provide monitoring of primary and secondary optical fibers in real-time, effectively avoiding the simultaneous blocking of two optical fibers. A single fiber break, equipment fault or significant attenuation can interrupt services and erode business continuity. Yet, outdoors, they face temperature swings, moisture, UV exposure, rodents, and human interference. When the fiber attenuation of the transmission line becomes large or the fiber accidentally breaks, leading to communication quality degradation or communication. To achieve “zero interruption” or “sub-second recovery” for optical lines, the industry has introduced OLP (Optical Line Protection) technology.

Heat protection for cable tray partitions

Covers are often required to protect cables from dust, debris, and accidental contact. However, a fully solid cover can trap heat. Available in standard 3m lengths or purpose built per application. It protects the cable system while allowing. Poor Heat Escape: Cable trays often have limited space, and many cables are packed in tightly. Environmental Factors: How hot or humid the air is, and how well air moves around, also affects how well cables cool down. In hot, damp. maintain spacing or to keep cables in place when the tray is ect the minimum bend ra-dius for cables as they exit the bottom of the cable tray. A rung spacing of 6 to 9 inches (150 to 230 mm) is preferable when the cable tray cont d for instrumentation and control applications that require. The best, most economical way to avoid serious problems from overheat conditions or damaging fires in cable trays and electronic facilities is a temperature monitoring system using the Xco Continuous Thermocouple, FTLD ™.
